about

The “evil corporations” that “ruin your childhood”?

Watching fans cry victim over their experience with “big evil corporations” is an exercise in irony. Fans have the bad habit of thinking, if they love something, it becomes their intellectual property. So naturally, they steal it, use it without permission, then get butthurt if/when they get hit with a copyright strike. All the while the small independent producers get destroyed because they can’t afford the army of lawyers required when socialists “love” something. If fans really wanted to be treated with respect, they would stop supporting the “big evil corporations” and pay independent producers a proper wadge for their original content. Instead fans rip/downloading everything for free, while making a living complaining about the lack of originality in the mainstream. A problem caused by fans. To fully establish their hypocrisy, fans assign respect only to those willing to give their hard work away for free. Socially scourging any independents who dare put up an “evil pay wall” or are “loathsome self promoters”. When this is pointed out, fans argue in ignorance because they aren’t privy to the woefully abysmal views/likes/downloads to sales ratios artists are faced with. Numbers only the artists sees. Numbers so low it’s common to have 10,000 full plays without a single $1 sale. When a track is popular you may even get as high as a whopping 0.001% sale’s rate. This is unbelievably, amazingly, hilariously slave wadge. The popular fan’s argument points to independent producers who gladly give their content away for free. Neglecting to mention, said producers, like most independents, have little choice since it’s almost impossible to STOP fans from stealing everything in the first place. Fans don’t like to admit independent producers can’t make a living, because is directly a result of fan behavior, not “big evil corporations”. This is why most alternatives to the “big bad industry” fall into the realm of side hobby. Independents unable to afford the time needed tp create thanks to the lack of income. Because of this next to none ever get successful/widespread enough to realistically compete with the mainstream. The few that do, fall victim to hostile corporate takeover. And where are the fans when that happens? Conveniently absent. Taking no realistic action to defend the independent producers. Apparently fan “love” ends when they actually have to DO something other than take stuff for free while they complain about corporatism.
